Imbolc 2021: Feast of Many Festivals
Come join us for a new-to-us festival celebration: Imbolc, an early-spring feast that traditionally marks the halfway point between the longest night and the spring equinox. Imbolc celebrates the first hope of spring, when seeds lying dormant begin to seek the light.
If you’ve ever grown plants from seed, you know some seeds must be sown “when all danger of frost has passed." Others need a long, biting winter before they’ll even consider sprouting. Some moulder in the dark for so long you’ve all but forgotten them.
It’s easy to love the parts of us that thrive in warmth and light, but growth happens for many reasons. Sometimes the best of us comes from the worst of times.
The frost has not passed, but it’s warmer with company. Come grow with us.
