The Stone Family Gathering, and Other Virtual Events
Hey everyone. You've probably heard already, but let's make it official: For the safety of our most vulnerable, the officers have decided to refrain from booking Stone Song for the 2020 SFG. If you can, please send some love to Brian and Eduardo.
I know this is hard to hear. I understand if you're angry. Many of us were looking forward to SFG as a chance for things to feel... normal, for a bit. But things aren't normal right now, and as scary as it is, no event is worth risking the lives of our friends.
But. The Stone Family Gathering is not canceled.
We have learned over and over this year that it's not the place that makes this sacred. It's the people, who choose to come together.
We will still come together. We will still share our morning coffee, and sing to each other at Bardic, and hold space for each other in ritual. For five days, we will share our homes and our lives with each other - even in ways we couldn't before! We'll be apart, but we will still be together.
It won't be the same, but it will still be us. And I can't wait to see y'all.
