TriFire 2026 (Wednesday, May 27, 2026)

Welcome BACK, Fire Family!

Our Venue: YMCA Camp West Mar, 14509 Brown Road, Sabillasville, MD 21780

"People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own souls. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious."
~Carl G. Jung

“...and they laughed, and they cried, and they showed their true faces,
And each was the other one’s guest.”
~A. Wiborg

This year, we invite you to explore themes of identity, personhood, and community through Faces of Alchemy. In workshops and playshops, we will examine personal, cultural, and alchemical roles and relationships, create literal masks, and re-imagine our figurative ones. In our three all-night fire circles, we will use drumming, dancing, singing, speaking, helping each other, and making things up as we go as tools that allow us to co-create shared experiences of depth, heart, whimsy, and beauty. Throughout the event, we will play with masking and unmasking, practice the art of playing well with others, and explore our truths.

And of course, we will be having a Masquerade Ball for Saturday night’s Flash Fire - so pack your alchemical finery! There will be a mask making workshop on Saturday, but if you decide to bring a mask from home, consider one that represents your highest vision.

We welcome you to join in the Great Work and have a transformational alchemical experience with us!

TriFire 2026 seeks to explore our own personal transformation from lead to gold in ways both familiar and unfamiliar. We experiment with the ingredients brought into our sacred container by you, our participants, in this grand experience! North, South, East and West, Fire, Water, Air, Earth, and Spirit, planets, metals, alchemical metaphors, and Jungian archetypes will spin, weave, and wend together.

This year, our theme is the "faces" of alchemy. What masks do you wear as a part of your everyday life? Do they match who you see yourself as when you gaze into a mirror, or are they an embodiment of a more specific aspect of yourself? What archetypes do you want to try on that you don't usually have an opportunity to explore? We will also be learning about some of the actual faces of alchemy as we honor individuals such as Nicholas Flamel and Emperor Rudolf the 2nd.

TriFire is a sober event; music, song, dance, fellowship, and the night are among our ingredients.

TriFire will be held the weekend after Memorial Day in 2026. This means that our first of three all-night alchemical fire circles will be on THURSDAY, May 28th, with early arrivals on Wednesday the 27th for those who wish to be on-hand to help create our laboratory.

Wherever you are staying, please be mindful that other attendees' tents, rooms, and sleeping spaces are to be treated with respect. An optional meal plan is available! For just $60, our cooks will prepare 6 sumptuous meals in Camp West Mar's commercial grade kitchen for you. No need to pack a cooler, ice, camp stove, and spend precious time cooking at your camp; let them do it for you! The meal plan will include: Thursday breakfast and dinner, brunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday, and a refrigerator clear-out "breakfast" on Sunday. Please be sure to include any dietary restrictions in your contact information so we can prepare accordingly.

Please Read! - The Parking Situation

Parking at Camp West Mar is very limited. If you can, please carpool with a friend, or two! We are encouraging use of the cabins and signing up for the meal plan to reduce the amount of "stuff" you need to bring. We will likely have to double-park cars at some point - please uncheck "Ok to double-park me" in your registration form if you need access to your car during the event.

Sunshine Funds
TriFire and SCC do not want money to be a barrier to attendance at one of our events. If you are experiencing financial difficulties and could use a little "sunshine" in your life to help make attending TriFire possible, please choose the "Invoice Me" option at the conclusion of your registration process and send an email to admin@stonecirclecouncil.org to let us know what you need. Sunshine funds can be applied towards basic event fees, but not for add-on items such as accommodation upgrades and meal plans.

SFG Work Weekend (Friday, June 12, 2026)

Work Weekend

This weekend's goals:

TBD

Rough Schedule:

Friday: frame construction, prepping the site, Dinner

Saturday: Breakfast, TBD 1, Break, TBD 2, Dinner

Sunday: Breakfast, TBD 3, hangouts, hugs & goodbyes

FAQ:

What's a work weekend?

Any weekend-long event where folks come together to accomplish a venue-related goal, typically involving some manual labor. Work weekends are much more relaxed and informal than most SCC events, and typical attendance runs from 5-15 people.

Past activities have included:

stone work, like checking on a risen Stone after the concrete's done curing

land stewardship, like chopping deadfall for firewood, or removing multiflora rose

improving site access by tending to paths and stairways

and of course, the occasional swimming and s'mores break

How much does it cost to attend?

Tickets are free! These weekends aren't as much of a "production" as typical SCC events, and we are not going to make you pay to volunteer for us. That said, sometimes there is a suggested donation to whoever is cooking to cover the cost of ingredients. If you want an accommodation other than what SCC has booked, you will need to pay for that individually. If there is a financial barrier that is keeping you from coming, email admin@stonecirclecouncil.org and we'll work something out.

Where will I sleep?

SCC has booked a group campsite for us. Bring your usual camping gear, and we will set up a little village together.

How will I eat?

Typically one (or a few!) members of the group will cook for the rest, and/or we will have a potluck-style meal plan. If you have food allergies, make sure to note them on your registration, so the cook(s) know how to keep you safe.

Lughnasad 2026 (Friday, July 31, 2026)

Join us for our Annual Lughnasad Celebration

In Celtic mythology the god Lugh established the festival as a feast, with games commemorating his foster-mother Tailtiu. We will be celebrating in much the same fashion as a tribute to Lugh and a celebration of the harvest.

Wait, Games?

This year we are hosting an all-virtual, totally free Lugh that lets us take advantage of all the games that an online platform has to offer! Party games, Jackbox games, Zoom charades, Gartic phone, pictionary, quiz games, and more!

We'll also have a variety of our favorite online activities, include crafting together, socializing time, bardic, and other good opportunities to connect with each other.

Event Details

The event will run virtually from Friday July 31 at 7pm to Sunday August 2 at 3pm. All times are EST.

Registration for the event is free, though we are accepting donations to the Sunshine Fund for other events and general donations!
